Non-government organisation (NGO) Unnayan Prochesta’s Eco-friendly pottery center at Tala, Satkhira inaugurated today

On Friday (May 26) noon, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce Tapan Kanti Ghosh and Additional Managing Director of Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) Md. Fazlul Kader visited the activities of the Pottery and Dairy Farm sub-project under the Sustainable Enterprise Project (SEP) of Unnayan Prochesta. During their visit, the guests inaugurated the eco-friendly pottery center implemented by the Pottery (Terracotta) sub-project of the organization.

After the inauguration, the guests visited the overall activities of this center and the activities of the vermi-compost entrepreneurs under the dairy farm sub-project and exchanged views with the entrepreneurs.

Throughout this visit Ghosh Sanat Kumar, Chairman, Tala Upazila Parishad, Shekh Yakub Ali, Director, Unnayan Prochesta, Shekh Iman Ali, Director, SUS, A, S, M Mujibur Rahman, Coordinator, Unnayan Prochesta and other officials of the organization were present.

However, the SEP-Pottery and Dairy Farm sub-projects are being implemented by Unnayan Prochesta with the support of Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) funded by the World Bank and Bangladesh Government. Through these two projects, Skill development, financial, technical and Technological support has been provided to 1000 Dairy micro-entrepreneurs and 400 potters in the southern part of the country to ensure business sustainability.
